Close up of image 'mrcgy912' showing the remodelled layout of the yard adjacent to Severn Street as remained in June 1966. The first siding on the left, No 19 is being used to stable to two ventilated bogie wagons whilst to its right, Sidings No 20 In and No 20 Out can be seen. The Diesel shunter is standing on the 'Departure' road whilst the Diesel locomotive with two bogie vehicles in tow is standing on the Arrival road. It would appear that two further sidings noted on the 1947 drawing are no longer in place. They were laid behind the locomotive to the right on ground that now appears to be fenced off. These sidings were used for handling timber and the yard had a large amount of space set aside to stack the timber. On the extreme right the building housing the hydraulics and electrical generating systems can just be seen. For additional information on the layout of the goods yard see image 'mrcgy909'.
