Ex-LMS 4-6-0 5MT No 45058 is seen at the head of an empty stock working for New Street on 5th September 1954. Bob Essery states in his book that when the locomotive arrived at New Street the fireman would change the headcode to express passenger train ready to take the stock forward in service. Built by the Vulcan Foundry in December 1935 No 45058 was withdrawn in October 1966 from 6D Shrewsbury shed.
