The schematic drawing seen in image 'mrls944' would seem to indicate that the buildings are part of the Carriage and Wagon Department's facilities and that behind the buildings are the main arrival and departure roads. To the right and adjacent to the houses was the 200 wagon coal sidings and beyond these in the distance the various sheds of Lawley Street Goods Station. Lawley Street 'A' Signal Box would have been obscured by the front portion of the train.
