LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

The 1904 Ordnance Survey map showing the two stations and the approaches from Alcester and Oxford. The MR route into Evesham required the line to cross the GWR before it entered the station after passing under the High Street road bridge. The adjacent 'Smithfield' market located on the High Street would have led to cattle, and other livestock, being driven to or from either the MR or GWR station's Cattle Pens, both of which were located adjacent to the High Street / Grenhill Street.
