LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

LMS 4P 2-6-4T No 42421 stands at the head of a down train comprised of period three LMS coaching stock. The 1934 signal box is seen on the right whilst the landing dock is on the left. Built as LMS 2421 at Derby works to Lot 101 in December 1933 No 42421 remained in service until withdrawn in September 1964 from Stafford shed to be scrapped the following month at Crewe works. Circa 1962
