LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Ex-LMS 2-6-4T No 42416 arrives at Evesham with the 2. 55pm from Redditch to Ashchurch local passenger service on 14th April 1962 . On the up platform can be seen the water crane complete with the 'fire devil' used to stop the water from freezing during the winter months. Alongside the column can be seen a BR notice warning passengers not to cross the railway by the porters barrow crossing but to use the bridge.
