LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 44812 passes beneath Cartland Road bridge at the site of the former station with a class F service. British Railways categorised a Class F service as being 'Express freight, livestock, perishable or ballast train NOT fitted with the automatic brake'. Built as LMS No 4812 at Derby works in October 1944, No 44812 was renumbered as such by British Railways in February 1949 which it retained until September 1967 when it was withdrawn from 5B Crewe South shed to be scrapped by J Cohens of Kettering.
