Ex-MR 2P 4-4-0 No 530 is seen moving at speed whilst at the head of a down express during the track widening circa 1927-8. The locomotive is seen on what later became the up fast line whilst the line under construction and immediately to the right was to become the down fast whilst the down slow has yet to be laid immediately in the foreground.
