LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Looking towards north towards Redditch with the main station building and the goods yard on the left. The passenger and booking office facilities were housed in the single storey section of the building as is evidenced by the two station signs fixed to the wall by the gate. The station sign, on the left by the lamppost and entrance to the two storey building, is an LMS 'Hawkeseye' model replacing the MR oblique angled station nameboard which had been located at the opposite end of the station. The Midland Railway signal box, which opened on 2nd June 1891 and closed on 1st March 1964, can be seen in the distance on right.
