Close up of image 'mrhv576' showing greater detail of the
platform and the various vehicles stabled in the goods siding. The lady is
standing at the only entrance to the station which was gained via the approach
road seen in image 'mrhv569a'. To her left, and very
unusual being located in such a prominent position, is the Gentlemen's urinals
as indicated by the sign post above the ladies head. To her right is a porter's
trolley is loaded with crates and small barrels indicating they are containing
agricultural produce for dispatch by passenger train. The lady sitting on one
of the station's standard MR benches has a baby in a perambulator (better known
today as a pram). There appears to be two cattle wagons at the end of a rake of
vans, their white sides being bleached brought about by the use of lime wash
used as a disinfectant after each use. The vans were probably being used to
transport fruit from the Vale of Evesham to towns and cities through the
country.
