Close up of image 'mrk1819' showing the additional 'facilities' provided on the up platform for storing tools for station staff and parcels for local residents. The hut appears to be constructed out of corrugated metal or asbestos with a slate tiled roof. The tall stove pipe chimney would indicate that this structure is also used for mess facilities of staff, most likely those working in the yard and platelayers. The former coach body would appear to have been in its former life a brake or guards van of a sufficient length to have been mounted on a six-wheel chassis. A porter's barrow sufficient for moving a large piece of luggage or parcel is evident outside the carriage body.
