View of one of the last steam trams passing Kings Heath station shortly before they were retired in 1906. The then Station Master, Mr Brain, is looking on as workmen progress the installation of the new trackwork and facilities required by the new electric trams. During this work the steam trams ran on temporary track at the station. The lamppost by the entrance has the legend To the Midland Station painted on the glass on at least three sides.
