An unidentified Midland Railway 0-6-0 Class 700 is seen passing through Kings Heath station on a down goods train in 1928. The fireman appears to be leaning out of the cab with only one foot on the footplate whilst his right hand is holding on to the cab roof. Barrie Geens speculated that the fireman might be getting ready to alight at the junction to goods to operate the three lever ground frame to allow the train to reverse into the yard.
