LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Looking across the island platform from the up slow to the down slow where the main station building was sited on 21st May 1960. This building is very elaborate and in all probability wasn't erected until 1876 when the West Suburban Railway was first opened although there is conjecture that it could have been erected as late as 1892 to accommodate further significant extensions to the West Suburban Railway's route to New Street. With the exception of the BR totem station sign this could be an LMS photograph, remove the telephone kiosk and it could be a pre-grouping (pre-1923) scene.
