Looking towards Lifford with a two-car Metro-Cammell Diesel Multiple Unit standing at Platform 1 ready to depart for New Street station circa 1962. The passenger footbridge was erected as part of the quadrupling of the platforms in 1926 and provided access to these platforms from a path running from Pershore Road which itself can be seen in the distance. A booking office, one of two erected adjacent to Platform 1 and located on Pershore Road, can just be seen on the left above the steps from Platform 1.
