LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham
Kings Norton Station: mrkn781
View of the booking office erected on Station Road and adjacent
to Platform 1 which was opened on 14th March 1926. This footbridge crossed the
railway along the line of the original level crossing and explains why Kings
Norton had three Station Roads in the form of a 'T', the two arms at 90°
and either side of the railway - with one arm being served by the above booking
office. The other arm and leg were served by the earlier station building
erected on Platform 4 and which was served by the 'leg' of the 'T'. The
footbridge can be viewed from the track and other side in image 'mrkn527'.
