Ex-MR 0-6-0 3F No 43673, at the head of an up Class F
express freight train, crosses over to the Camp Hill up line in 1953. The train
is of such length that the guard van is still on the up goods line whilst the
main body of the train is across both the up and down main lines. Another
member of the MR's 1873 class No 43673 was built by Kitson & Company in
1900 and was to remain in service until September 1961 when it was withdrawn
from 21A Saltley shed to be scrapped in January 1962 by J Cashmore of Great
Bridge.
