Ex-LMS 0-6-0 4F No 44248 on a frosty morning heads a west bound mineral goods train along the down goods line on 24th January 1954. Built by Derby works as LMS No 4248 in May 1926 No 44248 remained in service until September 1964 when it was withdrawn from 16E Kirkby-in-Ashfield shed to be scrapped in March 1965 by G Cohen of Ickles near Rotherham.
