LMS Stanier 4-6-0 5P5F No 5299 heads another holiday special express passenger service in the summer of 1936. Another of Stanier's superb 'Black 5s' No 5299 was built by Armstrong Whitworth in November 1935 and it was to remain in service until June 1968 when it was withdrawn from 10A Carnforth shed to be scrapped in October 1968 by Drapers Ltd of Hull.
