LMS 4-4-0 'Compound' 4P No 1098 pilots LMS 4-6-0 5XP Jubilee No 5659 'Drake' on a twelve coach train in 1937. Both the Compound and Jubilee were built by Derby works, the Compound in August 1925 and the Jubilee in December 1934. The Compound enjoyed a longer working life being withdrawn in June 1957 from 24J Lancaster shed to be scrapped during June 1957 by Derby works. The Jubilee however lasted less than thirty years being withdrawn in May 1963 from 55A Holbeck shed to be scrapped in May 1963 by Crewe works.
