Ex-MR 4-4-0 2P No 406 is seen piloting LMS 4-6-0 Jubilee class No 5638 'Zanzibar' on a 12 coach train in 1937. A member of the MR's 483 class No 406 was built by Sharp Stewart in April 1892 and lasted in service until the early years of BR being withdrawn from Normanton shed in August 1951 and scrapped at Derby works circa 1951. It never carried its allocated BR number. Stanier Jubilee 'Zanzibar' was built at Crewe works in December 1934 and remained in service until withdrawn from Warrington shed in March 1964 to be scrapped by Crewe works in April 1964.
