MR 0-4-4T No 1226 is working hard as it runs bunker first on a local passenger train to Northfield on 19th April 1922. The track nearest the camera has been re-ballasted recently as is evident by the new stone. A class 6 locomotive, No 1225 was built at Derby works circa 1905 and was to remain in service until November 1930 when it was scrapped by Derby works circa 1932.
