MR 4-4-0 No 397 is seen at the head of a down express passenger train made up of mixed coaching stock on 1st October 1921. Classified by the LMS as 2P this class 1808 locomotive was to remain in service until March 1951 when it was withdrawn from 8E Brunswick shed to be scrapped by Derby works circa 1951.
