MR 4-4-0 No 429 heads a down express passenger service just south of Kings Norton station on 16th July 1921. Another member of the MR's 483 class No 429 was built by Sharp Stewart in February 1893 and was to remain in service until June 1950 when it was withdrawn from 16A Nottingham shed to be scrapped by Derby works circa 1950.
