MR 4-4-0 2P No 509 is at the head of an express service near Kings Norton on 17th September 1921. A member of the MR's 483 class No 509 was built by Sharp Stewart in November 1899 and was to remain in service until June 1957 when it was withdrawn from 71G Green Park shed near Bath to be scrapped by Derby works during June 1957.
