MR 4-4-0 3P No 723 is seen accelerating past Kings Norton carriage sidings whilst at the head of an express train on 16th July 1921. A member of the MR's 2606 class No 723 was built by Derby works in November 1902 and was to remain in service until June 1939 when it was withdrawn from 16A Nottingham shed to be scrapped by Derby works in November 1939.
