MR 4-4-0 3P No 768 is passing the MR signal gantry south of the carriage sidings whilst at the head of a down express service in March 1922. A member of the MR's 2606 class No 768 was built by Derby works in April 1905 and was to remain in service until May 1936 when it was withdrawn from Leicester shed to be scrapped by Derby works later in the year.
