A 1945 internal view of Lawley Street's new shed showing the benefit of using a lightweight structure to maximise internal space. The use of glazed panels in the roof also maximised the amount of daylight to light up the the interior. The porters appear to be making safe goods which have been loaded on to the horse-drawn carts.
