LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

View showing part of the timber gantry which carried Moseley's up inner home signal as a MR express passes through the station. The train, which is being double headed with an unidentified MR 2-4-0 piloting an unidentified MR 4-4-0, is probably a direct service from the north avoiding New Street station. Such trains would use the Washwood - St Andrews - Camp Hill line and would consequently reduce the number of train movements through New Street as well as offer a much quicker service from the northeast to the southwest.
