LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

MR 2P 4-4-0 No 505 passes Midland Railway bracket signals whilst at the head of a seven coach express train near Northfield circa 1922. Another of the Midland Railway's once familiar 483 class working the Birmingham to Bristol route No 505 was built by Sharp Stewart in October 1899 and ended its days on the Somerset & Dorset Railway being allocated to Templecombe shed from where it was withdrawn in October 1953 to be scrapped at Derby works circa 1953.
