Ex-LMS 5MT 2-6-0 No 42945 carries out shunting duties with filled stone wagons from the adjacent Judkins stone wharf sidings. Compare the above scene to that seen in image 'mrna1913' some twenty years later. Built as LMS No 13245 by Crewe works in October 1933, it was quickly renumbered in December 1934 as LMS No 2945 which it retained until British Railways renumbered it in September 1949. Retaining the number until March 1966 when it was withdrawn from 9F Heaton Mersey shed, No 42945 was allocated to 2B Nuneaton shed from September 1961 to November 1964.
