LMS Route: Evesham to Birmingham

Ex-LMS 4F 0-6-0 No 44168 is seen being prepared for its next
trip with the driver oiling the inside motion. The fireman will rake out the
ashpan when it stands over the disposal pit, using the long rake partly seen on
the ground. Built by Crewe works in March 1926, No 44168 was to remain in
service until October 1963 when it was withdrawn from 16E Kirby-in-Ashfield to
be scrapped by Derby works.
