Close up of image 'mrs1085' showing the absence of the goods shed and other buildings at Stockingford station. The Ground Frame is still evident but the rest of the yard has been cleared leaving only the two sidings both of which are occupied with wagons. It is thought that the yard was cleared during the late 1950s when the rapid decline in freight traffic occurred due to competition from road transport.
