An early 1950s view of the war damaged corner to Saltley Shed's No 3 roundhouse showing a variety of ex-LMS goods locomotives around the turntable. Judging by the atmosphere within the shed the removal of the roof following the damage caused during one of the Luftwaffe's air raids on Birmingham appears to have had little effect on allowing the smoke to escape. The access road to No 3 shed can be seen on the right of the photograph whilst the line at the bottom of the picture was later allocated by British Railways for the new diesel tank.
