Ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 No 48669 stands coaled and watered and in steam inside Saltley's No 3 roundhouse. Built by the Southern Railway's Brighton works in May 1944, No 48669 was to remain in service until October 1967 when it was withdrawn from 9F Heaton Mersey shed.
