LMS Route: Birmingham New Street to Tamworth

Ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 No 48085 raises steam alongside BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 No 92136 inside No 3 roundhouse. Built by the Vulcan Foundry in January 1937, No 48085 remained in service until August 1967 when it was withdrawn from 8E Northwich shed on the CLC lines. The BR Standard Class 9F was built by Crewe works in July 1957 and remained in service until October 1966 when it was withdrawn from 2E Saltley shed.
