A firing shovel now redundant at Saltley shed following the withdrawal of steam power at Saltley shed. Saltley Shed had closed to steam on Saturday 4th March 1967 and some three months later all the steam locomotives except for three ex-LMS 8F 2-8-0 locomotives had been removed.
