General view inside Saltley No 3 roundhouse with three BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 locomotives on view, No 92151, No 92164 and No 92104, together with ex-LMS 5MT 4-6-0 No 45349 on 15th May 1966. The three 9F locomotives were all built at Crewe works, No 92151 in October 1957, No 92164 in March 1958 and No 92104 in August 1956. They were withdrawn to be scrapped by Drapers of Hull as follows: No 92151 in April 1967 from 8H Birkenhead shed; No 92164 in July 1966 from 2E Saltley shed; and No 92104 in February 1967 from 8H Birkenhead shed. The Stanier 'Black 5', No 45349 was built by the Armstrong Whitworth Company in May 1937 and was to remain in service until November 1967 when it was withdrawn from 5B Crewe (South) to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
