LMS 4F 0-6-0 No 4198 is seen on Friday 9th September 1932 standing in the fitting shop minus its tender but still carrying its lamp from its last trip, a class J through mineral or empty wagon train. The time on the clock on the rear wall shows its ten minutes to three whilst in the right hand corner a small pick-up lorry can be seen. The repair shop looks very clean with white/cream walls with the locomotive appearing to have been cleaned prior to entering the shop. Built at St Rollox works in October 1925 No 4198 remained in service until May 1963 when it was withdrawn from Hurlford shed to be scrapped the following year in February 1964 by TW Ward Ltd of Langloan.
