LMS 3F 0-6-0 No 3624 stands on shed with the notice 'Wait Orders' chalked on the bufferbeam in September 1935. Designed by SW Johnson as a member of the Midland Railway's 1873 class it was built by Neilson Reid & Company in 1899 and lasted in service until it was retired as No 43624 in May 1961 from Gorton shed to be immediately scrapped at Gorton works.
