Ex-LMS 4P Compound No 40928 is seen standing inside of one of Saltley shed's roundhouses coaled and watered for its next trip on 9th December 1951. Built by the Vulcan Foundry as LMS No 928 in May 1927, No 40928 remained in service until March 1958 when it was withdrawn from Saltley shed to be scrapped by Derby works.
