Ex-MR 3P 'Flatiron' No 2018 is seen during its disposal as is evident by the fire iron leaning against the cab and the ash lying adjacent to the track on 4th April 1936. LMS 2-6-0 'Crab' No 2760 stands immediately behind No 2018 whilst to the right an unidentified 4-4-0 is having its smokebox cleaned. Built at Derby works in April 1907, No 2018 remained in service until December 1937 when it was withdrawn from Nottingham shed to be scrapped by Derby works shortly afterwards. Despite being considered by many to be a poor performing class, due to their long tanks they were subject to rolling, the 2000 class were relatively long lived.
