Ex-MR 3P 0-6-4T 'Flatiron' No 2014, on 9th Oct 1932, stands outside No 3 roundhouse on a stabling road that clearly has become an unofficial disposal road as is evident by the piles of ash and clinker from the smokeboxes and fireboxes of the many locomotives based at Saltley. Built at Derby works in April 1907, No 2014 was one of the many members of the class to be both based at and withdrawn from Saltley, in this instance March 1936, to be scrapped by Derby Works.
