Ex-MR 3P 4-4-0 No 745, a member of the MR's 2606 class, stands in steam on one of Saltley's stabling roads in front of No 3 roundhouse on 14th August 1937. Built by Derby works in January 1904, No 745 remained in service for another 13 years after this photograph was taken, being withdrawn by British Railways as No 40745 from Saltley shed in March 1950 to be scrapped shortly afterwards.
