Saltley Shed: mrsalt977

BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No 92138 and BR built 5MT 4-6-0 No 44691 stand around one of the roundhouses on Sunday 22nd November 1964. Both had relatively short working lives with the 9F being built in July 1957 and withdrawn from 8C Speke Junction shed in Liverpool in July 1967, and the 'Black Five' being built in October 1950 and remaining in service until April 1967 when it was withdrawn from Workington shed. In its short working life it had been allocated to Bank Hall shed in Liverpool when new being transferred to Saltley in October 1963 before moving to Oxley shed in Wolverhampton in April 1965.
