LMS Route: Hampton in Arden to Whitacre
Hampton to Whitacre Lineside Views: mrsbr1182
British Railways built 2MT 2-6-0 No 46446 at the head of the
last proper train to work the branch in 1951. The driver was Jack Hancox and
his fireman was Arthur Smith. Built by Crewe works in March 1949, No 46446 was
to remain in service until December 1966 when it was withdrawn from 6D
Shrewsbury shed.
