LMS Route: Water Orton to Walsall

Ex-LMS 4MT 2-6-4T No 42482 at the head of a down six-coach passenger service passes through Streetly at sometime in 1953. The island platform no longer exists with the trackwork long removed and mother nature now reclaiming the land. Built as LMS No 2482 at Derby works in February 1937, No 42482 was to remain in service until April 1965 when it was withdrawn from 6A Chester shed.
