LMS Route: Water Orton to Walsall
Streetley Station: mrst1139
Looking towards Walsall with Hardwick Road bridge seen in
the distance with the island platform in the centre. Access to the station was
via a pathway which sloped down from Hardwick Road - outlined by the white
fencing seen in the distance on the right - and by road and pedestrian access
off Thornhill Road. The station was a substantial affair having three platforms
and a large building on the down platform which would have combined both
passenger facilities and the station master's office together with the booking
office and hall.
