LMS Route: Birmingham New Street to Tamworth
LMS Route: Nuneaton to Birmingham New Street
Washwood Heath Sidings: mrwhg345d
This close up of image 'mrwhg345' shows a number of the
merchant signs who used the facilities. On the left above and to the right of
the box van is the sign for Harrison & Cammel which is raised several feet
above their hut. To the middle of the photograph is the white roof of J Claye
Ltd's Hut with next three more huts, two belonging to Glosters of Birmingham
and one owned by Hurst Nelson. Note the flush fitted glazing to the roofs of
both buildings which might have provided some benefit but compared to other
goods buildings elsewhere were as a generous.
