Immediately behind the sidings was a field and beyond that, allotments probably belonging to the houses which are located on the right out of view in this view. The wagons that predominate in all views are primarily 5 plank MR vehicles either carrying coal or empty with the odd P.O. wagon, box van and cattle truck. Note the crane that appears behind 'Hurst Nelson & Co Ltd's' name board.
